They say politics is the art of compromise. They also say absolute power corrupts absolutely.

This is what concerns me about the Progressive Movement.

It now controls so much of what we see and hear, that compromise is no longer necessary.

I began to notice, after Barack Obama became president, that traditional American values were in grave danger. When Biden took office, he began to systemically unravel the very fabric of America.

I wonder: when the fruits of all this “progress” become apparent – when the nuclear family is a memory; when sex as we know it has been erased; when capitalism has been replaced by socialism, will Democrats be sorry?

Random Samplings of a Logical Mind

The end of compromise.

After all, why should they compromise? The Democratic Party, or (if you prefer), the Progressive Movement now controls most of our society.

It’s no secret they take control of our children in pre-school and begin the indoctrination.

On through kindergarten, grade school, and into college, the Progressive Movement has custody of virtually all our young people and molds them into a specific way of thinking.

By the time they reach adulthood, they’ve been adjusted, and it is difficult to reprogram them.

If schools are the worst influence on children and youth, social media isn’t far behind.

Bring up a mental picture of a teenager, you’ll probably visualize him or her with a face buried in a smartphone.

We know the crimes that Old Twitter committed against free speech, and we now that Mark Zuckerberg has admitted on Joe Rogan’s podcast that the FBI approached Facebook about censorship as well.

Then there’s popular culture where young people are influenced by left-wing rock stars, TV shows, and movies.

The nation’s most influential move studio, Disney, is openly woke and uses its movies to groom children into the LGBTQ lifestyle. Disney owns Marvel Comics and Warner Bros. Discovery owns DC Comics. Superman now has a gay son who kisses his boyfriend in the comics.

Of course, the Mainstream Media news outlets are pushing woke progressivism too.

CNN may be sinking in the ratings, but the more its new owners demand change, the more CNN’s left-wing political programming remains the same.

MSNBC is ultra-liberal with open racism displayed daily on shows such as Joy Reid’s “Reid Out.”

The Associated Press is all-in for liberalism and a woke agenda and so is the odorous Texas Tribune, which exits for the sake of “journalism.”

Worst of all, many big city churches have abandoned Bible teaching in favor of secular, woke progressivism.

Of course, churches want to protect their tax-exempt status, and so the Word of God, which is not politically correct, must be replaced with secular humanism.

What tools does conservatism have to fight back?

FOX News and a couple of minor cable outlets. Talk Radio. Hillsdale College. A few conservative websites. The Epoch Times. A few low-circulation magazines. The Wall Street Journal op-ed page.

Bluntly, we’re outgunned and it isn’t even close. The progressive Left has no need to comprise with conservatives.

What has the Progressive Movement accomplished?

To understand what this movement is about, you first have to understand what they hate or have little respect for. Here’s a short list:

• America as a free nation
• The Constitution as a limit to government power
• Capitalism and Free Enterprise
• Unborn children
• The traditional nuclear family
• Freedom of speech
• Traditional American heroes and icons

And here’s a short list of what they are interested in:

• Equity and government-mandated outcomes
• Social Justice (rather than justice for all)
• Open borders
• The dissolution of the traditional family
• The homosexual/gay agenda
• Socialism to replace capitalism
• Climate Change as a way to redistribute wealth

If they pursue their agenda, the chances are good that they will succeed.

Already, they’ve implemented “cancel culture” that has taken down statues that have stood for generations; they have invented “gender affirming care,” that amounts to surgical mutilation; and they use so-called Climate Change to control how we live and what mode of transportation we’re allowed to use.

What will life be like when the Progressive Agenda is complete?

The textbooks will tell our children (as they already do) that America was a country born in racism, where there were only two “genders,” and where corporations became rich by raping Mother Earth.

We will have two classes: those who are elite and those who are not. Those who are not will be miserable, but happy in the knowledge that the planet is no longer being raped except by the elites.

We will have total social justice for protected classes, but not for all. Protected classes will be different from the elite. Only the elite will have private jets. Commercial jets will be shut down to save the planet.

We will live in a nation of sterile people who tried to change their sex, but ended up being neither. They will regret that they cannot de-transition. But the elites will tell them it’s all right. They have 57 genders or more from which to choose. There will be no traditional families left.

We’ll all wear masks. All the time.

Does this sound like pure misery to you? Then fight back.

Ask God to forgive the liberals for what they are doing to the greatest country that ever existed on Earth. The vast majority of them have no clue what they are doing.

They’ve become sheep, blindly following in the footsteps of left-wing professors and political nutcases like Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, who is one of the least tolerant politicians of our time.

Yes; ask God to forgive them for they know not what they do. Their success means ruin to our country. So in the name of heaven, forgive them. Then fight them like Hell!

As far as I’m concerned the entire woke society including grievance pimps, most of academia and the media, virtually all of the Democrat Party, and especially corporations and sports leagues that are trying influence our laws can all go to hell.

I mean it. I’ve been patient, but enough is enough. 

Throughout history, many people of various ethic groups have been treated unfairly in some way. Blacks and whites have been sold as slaves. Jews were murdered by the Nazis in the Holocaust.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt interred Japanese Americans without cause. The list is long, and it’s all part of history.

Today, much of the world’s slavery comes in the form of human rights abuses in China, coyotes and human traffickers from Mexico, beheadings by Islamic terrorists, and the suffering of people under socialist or communist regimes in places like North Korea, China, and Venezuela.

Have you ever wondered why all those people would love to come to America?

Maybe it’s because the United States is still the freest place on Earth, a country where you can put your talents to work and create the life you want. Our Founders called it the pursuit of happiness.

In the United States, we not only have codified equality under the law – even with Democrat Party objections – but we have also put into place remedial laws such as affirmative action. These laws were first brought up under the John F. Kennedy administration and continue to this day.

Affirmative Action is a kind of “black privilege” that was meant to level the playing field. No one ever seems to question whether it is still needed, or when the playing field might be level.

Yes, the United States is the best country in world for people of all races to live and work. Millions of them would love to be here.

So why does the woke society hate this country so much?

Woke-ness is a disease; that’s obvious. But why?

What is to be gained from tearing down a society that is uniquely free and open to anyone’s success? There is money and power in it, I’m sure. One of the founders of Black Lives Matter has been exposed as a millionaire hypocrite. When she’s criticized, she calls her critics “white supremacists.” This is what galls me, and so many others.

When “racism” becomes the charge for anything the woke crowd doesn’t like, it means nothing. Still the big corporations pay heed and are afraid of the mob. That’s why small minds at big companies like Coca-Cola, American Airlines, Dell Computers, Delta, and so many others are using their power as major corporations to influence laws. They can go to hell for all I care.

So can sports leagues from the NCAA to Major League Baseball, to the NFL and NBA. The last thing I want from sports operations (some that unapologetic-ally do business with the Communist Chinese) is for people who deal with tossing an oblong ball or putting a round one through a freaking hoop to influence complex laws.

We elect people to do that. I did not vote for the Commissioners of any of these sports leagues and therefore, they have no right to influence laws in my state or my country. They can all go to hell for all I care. I will not consume their so-called entertainment if they do this.

The media is no better.

CNN is an outright propaganda network that broadcasts only news and interviews that benefit the Democrat Party.

The Associated Press is a fake news outlet that apparently started the trend of using an uppercase B in the word “black” but does not follow suit with white or brown. How is that not major bias?

The media has taken sides and seems to have reached a point where “woke” equals “truth” and their limited minds cannot tell the difference. As news sources, CNN and MSNBC are worthless, as are the three legacy networks. USA Today is just as woke, and woke-ness at a newspaper means shoddy unfair journalism.

For those of you who believe FOX News, which has abandoned the great slogan “fair & balanced,” is woke because it correctly called the Arizona race for Biden – think again. Watch any half hour on FOX, and then a half hour of CNN. It’s like two different universes.

I still watch FOX News and particularly Tucker Carlson. I read The Epoch Times.

Hillsdale College’s IMPRIMUS is like an oasis of truth in the middle of the Jeff Zucker Desert. Subscribe; it’s free.

Conservative websites like Breitbart, the Blaze, WBDaily, Hot Air, and so on are conservative. Talk radio is downgraded with the death of Rush Limbaugh, but it still perseveres at least for a few more years.

The rest of the media, including most major newspapers like the New York Times can all go to hell. They are nothing but left-wing, woke, fake news.

Speaking of Tucker Carlson.

With Rush departed, and no talk show host rising to the top so far, FOX News’ Tucker Carlson is our most important voice on the right. I don’t always agree with him. But I do most of the time because he speaks more truth than anyone else and he knows how to flat-out nail the left.

Tucker is so effective that CNN’s Sunday morning media-critic show, Reliable Sources, has become a weekly screed against him with the goal of having him removed. Brian Stelter has a weekly parade of guests on, likely driven by his Maxi Me, Jeff Zucker, to disparage Carlson. For example, the left-wing head of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) said on Stelter’s show that “Tucker Carlson must go.”

This is rich. CNN is an outright propaganda network as shown by undercover footage from Project Veritas, and the ADL is dedicated to shutting up anyone they disagree with, and they want Tucker Carlson off the air? They can go to hell for all I care.

Here’s what Tucker said (this time) that riled CNN and the ADL. He charged that Biden’s ignorant and disgusting open borders policy is (at least partially) to bring in millions of foreigners that will eventually get to vote and when they do they will vote for Democrats. Tucker said this diminishes the voting power of current American citizens and that it is despicable.

So here come Stelter and the ADL demanding Carlson’s head for stating the obvious. As we said above, anyone who disagrees with the woke mob must be a racist. CNN and the ADL went even further calling Tucker Carlson a “white supremacist” for repeating the old “replacement voters conspiracy.” (They did not use an upper case W in white.)

Uh. Let me see. Democrats want to turn Texas blue. They have not been able to. Biden opens the border (which was secure under Trump) to allow thousands if not millions to come across, and he is sure to work to give them the vote. If the “conspiracy” is in your face such as this one is, it isn’t a conspiracy. This is Democrats working to consolidate their power.

So to CNN and the ADL – you can go to hell and I’ll continue to watch Tucker Carlson and FOX News. And Newsmax and OAN.

A short list of things they do that make me want them to go to hell:

• The woke mob calls anyone they disagree with racist. Stop it.
• They tear down statues of people that I and most Americans revere.
• They are forcing the renaming of schools named after people I admire like Robert E. Lee and Abraham Lincoln.
• They riot in the streets, almost with impunity and are called peaceful.
• But the Capitol breach in which a protester was shot to death by a Capitol Police officer – that was an “insurrection.”
• The woke mob has abandoned “due process.” Juries must find all white cops guilty regardless of the evidence.
• They want to abolish the Senate Filibuster, which protects the rights of the minority party, in order to consolidate their power.
• They want to add two states – D.C. and Puerto Rico – to add four new left-wing senators to consolidate their power.
• They want to eliminate the Electoral College so that California can elect all future presidents to consolidate their power.
• They want to pack the Supreme Court with four new left-wing justices to consolidate their power.
• They have almost total control of the media, which reports fake news and propaganda. (See CNN and the AP and most of the others.)
• They control academia, which is where this woke crap starts.
• They control secondary schools and trash America with curriculum such as Critical Race Theory.
• They believe that men and women can change their sexes and they want me to believe it too and if I don’t (which I don’t) they want to punish me.
• They believe it’s just fine to use puberty blockers to castrate young children, which is one of the worst forms of child abuse.
• Hell yes, they’re coming or our guns. Believe it.

Are you sick of walking on eggshells?

The woke mob has gotten us into a situation where if they are offended, the rest of us suffer.   I don’t want to kowtow to a mob. I want to be able to use my First Amendment right to speak and to disagree if I want to.

I’m tired of being called a racist. I’m tired of having people I like and support being cancelled.

So what do we do about it? There are two things we can do.

One is resist. And this better work because the second thing we can do is unthinkable. The mob is what it is. We need a conservative mob – one that is in tune with American values like freedom, rugged individualism, faith in God, love of country, and life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

We need to revere our Constitution. We need to demand total adherence to the Bill of Rights and especially the first and second amendments, which are under fire by the mob. Then we need to organize.

We have to stop the left-wing academics from taking control of our schools in our towns and cities and of colleges and universities and we need to use our schools to restore respect for the American Way.

We need to replace statues that were torn down and dare the mob to try and take them down again. We need to cancel our subscriptions to left-wing media. We need to name hundreds of schools after Robert E. Lee. We must preserve our American heroes.

We need to make Orwell fiction again.

The Memory Hole of cancel culture has got to stop. Truth must make a comeback. We should bring down networks like CNN not by shutting them down, but by turning them off and by not supporting their sponsors. We should pull all advertising from local papers that run the AP.

We’ve simply got to stop buying tickets to sports events and stop watching them on television. If the University of Texas kowtows to the mob and drops “The Eyes of Texas,” punish the school by ignoring its programs. It will be hard. We love our sports. But we must do it.

We have to let the NCAA, MLB, the NFL and the NBA that we will no longer be there for them. And they need to get out of Communist China. Empty seats in a 100,000-seat stadium will mean a lot.

Pull your kids of our of woke schools at any level. Schools are some of the most woke places in our country. And stop voting for woke politicians. Vote against all Democrats and against squishy Republicans.

We mentioned an alternative. It’s not pretty.

The only other thing we can do is to let this woke garbage fester and get worse. Then the time will come that some states will have had enough. Some people will be so mad that they can’t take it anymore.

Then will come a revolution. It may be in the form of side against side like the War Between the States. Or it may be a serious “insurrection” where the people go to Washington to take it back for freedom – just as we did in the American Revolution against the British.

This is not what I want but it is what I see. America no longer has regard for life, liberty, or the culture that made us the greatest nation on Earth. If the world loses the stabilizing influence of the United States of America, then the evil countries of the world can take over. Imagine life under a worldwide caliphate or an Earth with Xi Jinping in charge.

This is what woke schools, universities, corporations, and sports leagues are ushering in.

• All the emphasis of skin color.
• Capitalizing of the “B” in Black.
• Gay marriage and the abandonment of the traditional family.
• Massive debt and Cloward-Piven theory.
• Biden’s sick downgrading of the Constitution.
• Cancel culture.
• Our lying fake-news media.
• Woke-ness at every level of American society.

74,000,000 Americans did NOT vote for this. The woke mob can go to hell. The rest of us had better wake up fast.

Political correctness on college campuses didn’t cut it with Reagan!

ISSUE ONE: The Eyes of Texas

 The University of Texas has decreed – in a 57-page report – that the school’s alma mater, The Eyes of Texas,” has no racist intent. This is after convening a panel composed of 24 people to study the song’s so-called racist history.

Some members of the football team have rebelled against the song and the UT band has refused to play it. The first thing you notice about the report is that it’s very woke. Black is used with an uppercase B but white is used with a lowercase W. There’s verbiage about “the racism that has historically plagued our campus.”

The report notes that a student group included among its demands that point-5-percent of what the Athletic Department brings in should go to organizations such as Black Lives Matter. The school opted to keep the song as is – but to capitulate to most of the students’ demands.

ISSUE TWO: The Robert E. Lee connection.

In today’s PC culture, there is no greater villain than Robert E. Lee. So when the University of Texas researched the history of “The Eyes of Texas,” it was important to disconnect Lee from the song if the school wanted to keep it.

The report states that General Lee is reported to have often said: “The eyes of the South are upon you.”

The school desperately needed to debunk this notion, and so it did, saying there is a “low likelihood” that the phrase originated with Lee.

But Civil War historian John C. Perry says the phrase is tied to the Battle of the Wilderness that was fought in May of 1864. Lee’s army was in trouble and was fortified by the Texas Brigade commanded by General John Gregg.

As Gregg ordered his men forward, he said: “The eyes of General Lee are upon you.” And that is the likely connection to Robert E. Lee.

ISSUE THREE: What would Reagan do?

He did the opposite of what UT did.  The report on the school song “The Eyes of Texas” had to twist into a few pretzels in order to keep the song alive. This is in contrast to what Ronald Reagan said when students occupied land at Cal Berkeley on May 15, 1969.

Reagan called in the National Guard. At a news conference, Reagan was asked why he didn’t negotiate with the students.   “Negotiate?” said Reagan. “What is there to negotiate?” He said the students had no right to disobey the law under the banner of social protest. He said adults at Berkeley should have known better.

UT officials should view this video and make President Jay Hartzell and the Board of Regents watch it a few times.  And that might not do any good. UT is under the power of today’s woke society.

In 244 years of American history, the new Cancel Culture surely ranks as the most stupid, idiotic trend that has ever taken place.   It beats out New Math, the tattoo craze, Whole Language, the self-esteem movement, New Journalism, and maybe even the laughable idea of identifying as a sex that you aren’t.

The sight of American history being removed pains most Americans.

We’ve suffered through news reports of statues being torn down — or worse, spineless officials kowtowing to a mob.

Christopher Columbus, Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee, and even George Washington have been cancelled in many locations and on most woke college campuses (with the University of Texas being one of the spineless-est.)

We’ve stood by helplessly as long-held traditions have fallen and schools have been renamed.

No more Reagan High School in Austin. And in Midland, Texas, one of the most tradition-rich high schools in the country is losing its legacy. This past October, the Midland school board voted to rename Robert E Lee High School “Legacy High School.” How clever – and how dumb can you be?

Warning: what comes next is satire.

There is a simple way to stop all this and end the madness.

We are told by domestic terrorist organization such as Antifa and Black Lives Matter that certain parts of our history must be cancelled due to America’s original sin of slavery.   These groups have demonstrated that if we do not comply they will “peacefully” riot, burn, loot, pillage and kill policemen in some of our urban centers. Our “leaders” seem to lack the stones to arrest them and charge them when they break the law.

So consider this: None of this would matter if we cancelled slavery. We could simply erase it from our history books! Forget it ever happened! Gather up all mentions of slavery in encyclopedias and in the New York Times’ 1619 Project and trash them.

Then, we could scrub the internet of all mentions of slavery. If anyone tried to post about it, Facebook and Twitter could flag the posts!   Think of the possibilities.

With slavery cancelled, there would be no reason for the racial divide.

Sure, it happened. But with its entire history cancelled, what would it matter? After all, we wouldn’t be teaching it in schools. There’d be no need for race-based anything. Corporations would no longer need a Department of Diversity and Inclusion – nor would colleges and universities. Colleges wouldn’t need to teach subjects such as African American Studies. With slavery erased, there’d be no need.

All the statues could go back up. Since we’d only be removing monuments to those who opposed slavery (no need for them with slavery erased) like Harriet Tubman, Chris and Jefferson, and Robert, and George could all be re-erected. With slavery erased, there’d be nothing about them to be objected to.

We certainly wouldn’t need reparations for an epoch that no longer exists.

 That would diminish the importance of race-based political hacks such as Ilhan Omar, Kamala Harris, Maxine Waters, and Eddie Bernice Johnson. The racial reverends would be out of luck too – Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Jeremiah Wright and Rapahel Warnock wouldn’t have anything to rail about in their sermons. Jesse couldn’t shake down any businesses.

Colin Kaepernick might fade away into history as simply a quarterback who never made it in the NFL.

So let’s cancel slavery and totally erase it from history. How about it?

On the other hand, that’s a bad idea.

The problem with canceling slavery is that it existed and there is a lot to be learned from it. If we were to flush it down Orwell’s Memory Hole, would America be better for it? Not likely.

Studying slavery is proper because it happened, and professors ought to teach it from two points-of-view: those of the time in which it occurred, and from modern sensibilities. They also should teach that America did abolish slavery—and lot of people died for that cause.

Other parts of American history should be preserved and taught as well – in the light of objective truth and not with the constraints of political correctness. For example, Robert E. Lee owned slaves. Robert E. Lee was also a great historical figure who was not the one-dimensional racist that he is made out to be.

Canceling slavery is clearly not something we ought to do.

Neither is tearing down statues and re-naming schools. Whole Language is clearly not as good as Phonics. Cancel culture is clearly not as good as respecting our history and judging our forefathers in the light of the times in which they lived and their contributions to the freedoms we all enjoy.
