For the rest of the column, Elder moves through time, quoting breathless warnings from liberal activists on the timeline of human destruction.

In the seventies, the Left was frantic about human activity triggering an ice age. Time Magazine was concerned with excessive snow. Al Gore gave us just ten years because of warming. That was in 2006. Yet climate change drives left-wing politics to this day.

Larry Elder and John Stossel expose left-wing so-called “science” for what it is.

What it is, is a way for government to grow, and for income redistribution to be accomplished using “science” as a way to get it done.

Domestically, the Left enjoys taking money from groups they don’t like (the wealthiest 1 percent, conservatives, people who vote Republican) and moving that money to people they believe will vote for Democrats for life.

The most recent example of that is President Biden’s insane Student Loan Forgiveness debacle. The administration struggles to explain who will pay for that, but it’s the American taxpayer – pure and simple.   Biden hopes that those who get the benefit will always vote Democrat and he may turn out to be right.

Climate change, on the other hand, is the reason for redistributing money to the Left’s preferred groups.

If the Golden State succeeds in forcing electric cars to the market over internal combustion engines, who benefits? Elon Musk for one, but essentially this will pump government money into alternative energy.

Electric cars may be the wave of the future (or they may not, as they have a lot of inherent problems) but if so, then the free market should decide and not the left-wing ideologues of California.

Meanwhile the Democrats, on a party-line basis, passed the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, which is really the Green new Deal.

As soon as it passed, the Left began promoting it as a climate change bill.

Here’s a news flash: if the bill performs to the very top of expectations, it will have zero effect on the climate in the Unites States and zero affect around the world.

But it will provide money to left-wing causes and it pleases the nutcase left-wing base.

While Elder quotes, Stossel exposes the vapid stupidity of left-wing “science.”

The Associated Press and CNN, not actually news organizations, would never report this. Stossel writes about the “ridiculous papers” hoaxes that fool “experts” (his quotations marks) in scholarly journals from time to time.

Comedians and other pranksters write the stupidest “scientific” articles they can imagine and submit them for publication. You’d be surprised at how many learned journals will publish such fake articles as “Embracing Fatness as Self-Care in the Era of Trump.” Yes, that actually happened.

The article was accepted by Massey University’s “Fat Studies” conference. Sea Matheson wrote it, but “she” is actually comedian Steven Crowder.   The Left is so easy, especially if there’s en element that would denigrate Donald Trump.

So now we’re about to spend almost a trillion dollars to try to cool the planet by a small fraction of one degree.

Whatever climate change abatement comes from the “Inflation reduction Act,” it will have no effect whatsoever on the climate. Logic says that, but real science says it too. But the Left is happy, and you can now start to pay the bill and get ready for your next income tax audit.

There is some good news in all this. You won’t have to worry about it much longer. Here’s the final quote from Mr. Elder’s column:

“The world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change.”

So we have until 2031 to save the planet. More likely, we’ll have many more years to pay for saving the planet while it continues on as it will for the next few billion years.

With Joe Biden presiding over one of the biggest military blunders in American history, it’s apparent that he has to go.

In California, where taxes are high and the cost of living is higher, people are fleeing like rats from a sinking ship.

Gavin Newsom could become the second high-profile Democrat governor to be run out of office in less than a month.

In Austin, our mayor and city council gave us the homeless crisis and still aren’t sure how to fix it.

They defunded the police and that led to record homicide numbers. At what point does Austin say “enough.”

Biden’s choice may be simple. Resign or be impeached.

If you read these columns, you know that I’ve been advocating for Biden to go for some time. He is not merely demented. He’s come out of the closet as a far-left zealot.

He not only appeases The Squad; he seems to agree with them.

CNN used to delight in showing aerial shots of the Trump White House, and imagining the President huddled in the Oval Office, alone, and with no support for his policies. (Or in some type of deep depression over CNN’s latest “we got ‘im now” story.)

That never sounded like the Trump I knew. Trump seemed to live by the Davy Crockett mantra:

“Be always sure you are right — then go ahead.”

Trump saw problems and he found solutions.

When he was sure he was right, he implemented them and he usually confounded his opponents. Trump took out two of the world’s worst terrorists – against the advice of some politicos. But the removal from the planet of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi (leader of ISIS) and Qassem Soleimani (commander of Iraq’s Kuds Force) made one thing plain. A Donald Trump red line was not to be crossed.

Right now, I imagine Joe Biden is huddled in the Oval Office, alone or with a few left-wing diehards, isolated from reality, and not knowing what to do. It’s sad, but we’re about get Kamala unless we can cut a deal to oust her as well on grounds of general incompetency.

It’s time to destroy Larry Elder

Liberals have failed at running California and they’re looking to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom and install someone else.

Larry Elder, a talk show host, is the frontrunner.

That means it’s time to find a woman, in this case a former girlfriend, who will say that Larry’s a bad dude. Elder says he never brandished a gun in front of her. So we’ll see.

It was interesting that when the late Herman Cain dropped out of the presidential race, the women who accused him vanished and never popped up again.

The Los Angeles Times has also run a headline that reeks of desperation:

Larry Elder is the black face of white supremacy.

Larry isn’t that, of course.  He’s a conservative and we concern ourselves more with character.  It’s one of our great strengths.

In any case, California is a mess, and (with apologies to the Gatlin Brothers), much of the gold in California is now in Texas where more than 650,000 Californians have relocated.

It’s time for Austin to move solidly to the right.

The city is beautiful, but is a bastion of progressivism that has cost lives and treasure. Infamous left-wing compassion got us the massive tent cities that popped up after City Council welcome them to come in by dropping the pubic camping ban.

If you drop it, they will come. It’s like Biden and the border. He opened it. They came.

Austin also jumped on the defund-the-police bandwagon, and homicide numbers skyrocketed.

Now Austin is trying to figure out how to find a place for all the homeless folks they welcomed in and how to refund the police and keep their liberal reputation intact. That may not be possible.

It’s time for a solid move to the Right.

America is a nation of conservative values. We don’t leave people behind in Afghanistan. We revere our Founding Fathers and the icons of history. We do not teach our children to hate each other over skin color. We do not spend ourselves into insolvency. We control our borders. We know the difference between a boy and a girl.

We salute the flag and kneel before God. Regardless of our race, color, or creed, we are Americans first and foremost.

There’s another name for conservative thought: sanity.

Not only is the liberal left insane, it’s an abject failure. We’re seeing it now. Everything they touch turns to crap. If a liberal told me the sky was blue, I would not believe it. Never has failure been so costly and so complete. I know it. You know it. It’s time that they know it as well.

Do they stay with an incompetent Democrat who, in his finest Joe Biden style, has totally screwed up the Golden State? Or do they put their trust in a 69-year-old black man who is the political opposite of Governor Gavin Newsom?

Here are just a few of Newsom’s problems:

California has the nation’s highest cost-of-living. It has the nation’s highest poverty rate, and a full third of the nation’s welfare recipients.

It has lost a seat in Congress.

People are fleeing with 687,000 moving to Texas over a decade.

Larry Elder can’t clean up the mess overnight. But Elder could be a harbinger of change for a troubled state.

Larry Elder will implement conservative ideas that could save California.

Of course, this assumes that if he gets the job, the left-wing Legislature will cooperate. One thing he would do is to implement school choice, and work to get rid of incompetent teachers that are now protected by unions.

The question is: even if Elder gets in, will Californians, who are mostly Democrats, realize that a Trump-like problem solver like Elder can rescue the state from their own ideology? Democrats have a long history of doubling down on stupid left-wing ideas, even when they are failing.

Stupid is as Democrats do.

ISSUE ONE: Save the pronouns. Collect the whole set.

When I saw the Travis County PR release about flying the so-called “pride” flag, I wasn’t surprised.

This is, of course, Austin where logic goes to die. But then, I read the release, and yes – it can get worse.

The County Commissioners will fly the flag over the Travis County Administrative Building and in doing so, all involved have declared their pronouns – you know, like Kamala Harris did a few years ago.

County Judge Andy Brown is a he/him. Commissioner Brigid Shea is a she/her. But some others representing the LGBTQIA-plus (as the release says) declared their pronouns to be they/them or she/they. Remember, Kamala was a she/her, which is disappointing for such a hysterical – I mean historical figure. This is what insanity looks like.

Who will call it out? Only me, I suppose. But I’m just one solitary he/him.

ISSUE TWO: The Maher factor! 

In any discussion of Democrats being out of their ever-loving minds, you have to bring up Bill Maher. The host of HBO’s Real Time is left-wing himself, but the current insanity on the Left is appalling even to him.

Maher cites a new term: “progressophobia,” a malady that seems to blind left-wingers to any form of racial progress.

Maher logically says this makes no sense. How is everything in America racist when the progress made since the Jim Crow days is astounding?

Will Bill Maher be cancelled? He will if MSNBC anchor Tiffany Cross has her way. She says he has no right telling “people of color” what they should be offended by.

He should shut up, she says, until he has a diverse panel on his show discussing “color-ism.” I have a suggestion. Maher should do that, and on the same show, have a panel on “stupid-ism.”

ISSUE THREE: Kamala’s root causes. 

President Biden often seems insane, but he has an excuse. He’s older and obviously has some form of dementia.

Vice President Kamala Harris-Emhoff has no such excuse.

The Veep, whose pronouns are she/her, has refused to go to hotspots along the border, deciding instead to visit Guatemala and Mexico to search for “root causes” of illegal immigration.

Meanwhile, there is no left-wing search underway for the root causes of violence in our predominantly black communities such as south Chicago. As Larry Elder writes, blacks between the ages of 10 and 43 die of homicide at 13 times the rate of whites.

The root cause of that is obvious. It’s the break up of the traditional family and the lack of responsible fathers. Most Democrats, including Barack Obama, are well aware. This is insanity, so where is the outrage?

Travis County Set To Fly Pride Flag For the First Time 

Travis County Commissioners Court to Vote on a LGBTQIA+ Civil Rights Resolution Calling for Flying a Pride Flag and Other Civil Rights Protections

TRAVIS COUNTY, TX – On Tuesday, June 29, the Travis County Commissioners Court will vote on whether to allow a Progress Pride flag to fly on the Travis County Administrative Building for the first time.

Travis County Judge Andy Brown and Commissioner Brigid Shea have proposed a resolution to fly the Progress Pride flag at 700 Lavaca to close out Pride Month and again in August for the Austin Pride Parade. The resolution also directs county staff to develop a comprehensive procurement policy that prohibits contractors from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression or veteran status.

There will be a flag-raising ceremony at the Travis County building on Tuesday with remarks from Judge Brown, Commissioner Shea, and Travis County LGBTQIA+ leaders.

The Progress Pride flag that will fly in Travis County builds on the six-strip rainbow of the Pride flag by adding a chevron of white, pink, light blue, brown and black — to symbolize transgender rights, people of color and those living with or lost to HIV/AIDS.
