The President, the Genius, and the Empty Suit
The President is Donald Trump, who, in his second term, has discovered the necessity of actually draining the Swamp. The genius is Elon Musk, the brains behind Tesla and SpaceX who lent his talent to the cause of Swamp draining. The Empty Suit is Hakeem Jeffries, who, as the House Minority Leader, has become the face of keeping the Swamp fully operational – and growing.
Trump is a problem solver, practical and non-ideological. Musk is a risk-taker who pushes the envelope and demands results now! Jeffries is a tax-and spend Democrat who seems clueless about the fiscal disaster that faces the country.
Two of these men, in their own ways, have worked to avoid disaster. Jeffries remains in denial.
Hakeem Jeffries is the polar opposite of Elon Musk.
Look at what Musk has accomplished. He’s made electric vehicles popular, even if they still have a way to go before becoming actually practical. He’s the leader in developing less expensive ways to ferry astronauts to the International Space Station and back.
Neuralink, another of his companies, is pioneering a brain-to-computer interface to help people with quadriplegia live more normal lives. Musk is a man of huge, barrier-busting ideas.

Hakeem Jeffries is a man with no ideas.
And yet, if you venture into the vast wasteland that is CNN and MSNBC, you’ll find that he’s the face of the Democratic Party; the man represents the best and the brightest they have. He has three messages:
(1) Donald Trump is bad and we must oppose anything he does.
(2) Republicans are bad and we must oppose anything they do.
(3) We can never, ever, under any circumstances cut a cent from the Swamp, even if the country is heading into fiscal ruin, and a great depression is just over the hill, never, ever shall we reduce government – never ever!
Video: Predictably, Jeffries tries to hang on to Musk’s coattails when it serves his purposes.
And he means it. We will not kick illegal aliens off Medicare and Medicaid. Not ever. We will never get rid of waste, fraud, and abuse in government. And in Hakeemworld, more taxing and more spending always make for a better America.

That’s what Chuck Schumer thinks too. And all the rest of the Democrats. Remember, virtually all of President Joe Biden’s “accomplishments” were big spending bills – like the unintentionally-hilariously named “Inflation Reduction Act.”
President Trump, fortunately, has decided that government must shrink.
As we say, Trump, who did not pay a lot of attention to deficits or to the National Debt in his first term, seems to see that the light at the end of the tunnel is another train. Like Musk, he’s a businessman, and you can’t run a business this way. So, he’s gotten serious about fixing the problem, pragmatic as he is.
Video: Hakeem bitches and moans, but never has an original thought. Suit: empty!
This causes a big problem for the Democrats in many ways.
Under Biden’s term, they could use the excuse of the COVID-19 pandemic to spend vast sums of money. Roughly, we’ve gone from spending about $4 billion, pre-pandemic, to about $7 billion now. We take in about $5 billion. Democrats see the same numbers that Republicans do, but they ignore them.
Video: Hilarious! MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow urges Hakeem to “get arrested.”
With the pandemic over, they revert to number (1) and (2) above. That is, they cannot cut spending if Trump wants to nor if Republicans want to — because they can never agree with them. Besides, how would they stop climate change if they can’t transfer billions of dollars to developing countries?

So, Democrats, hampered by left-wing ideology, are essentially out of the picture when it comes to solving the nation’s biggest existential threat, which is the National Debt. This has rendered them irrelevant. Hakeem Jeffries, clueless as he is, has become the symbol of the Party’s ineptness.
Even with the broken bromance, Trump and Musk have made a difference.
The Trump-Musk feud played out over the background of the nation having gone broke, and heading toward a fiscal crisis from which it may not be able to return. Look at it this way: Trump and Musk both want to cut government spending. If we don’t, there will be no money for the Military, for Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security or anything but to pay interest on the debt. Facts are cold, but those are the facts.
Both are billionaires and used to getting what they want quickly. Trump has learned that government is plodding. The cuts that Musk wants, and suggested through DOGE, will take time. The One Big Beautiful Bill isn’t even intended to get it all done. That irritates Musk, whose other big ideas he’s personally in charge of. SpaceX has no Congress to deal with.
Besides, Musk may have thought that, for services rendered, he should be able to keep the subsidy that helps Tesla sell electric cars. That was never likely under a president who had the guts to cut off NPR and PBS. Musk is said to have voted for Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden, so he is late to the ideals and beliefs of the Republican Party. That is to say: Tesla should succeed on its own merits without government subsidies. Besides, Musk has about $21 billon worth contracts with the government for SpaceX and that’s not bad.
Whether the two of them make up is somewhat irrelevant. If they do and can continue to help fix the fiscal crisis, that’s great. If not, then Musk has shown us how to go line-by-line and weed out bad spending. DOGE can go right on doing that. It should, and so should every state, county, city, and school district. Too many of them are in debt as well.
Video: Jeffries asked about the only person in the Party with fewer brain cells than he has.
The President and the Genius understand the nation’s biggest crisis. Where does that leave the Empty Suit?
Hakeem and his Trump-hating party remain clueless. Democrats nearly spent our country into oblivion during the Biden years. They have signaled they will do it again if they ever get back into power. Democrats exist to tax and spend, and without those powers, they are nothing.
RELATED: Americans must face the fact that today’s Democratic Party is dangerous
It would be great if Democrats had big ideas other than simply spending and growing government. They don’t. Trump does. Like his ideas or not, things like the New Golden Age, acquiring Greenland, making Canada a state, protecting America with a Golden Dome missile defense system, turning Gaza into a vacation spot – even the renaming of the Gulf of America to restore national pride – these are idea far beyond the mental capabilities of Joe Biden, Chuck Schumer, and Hakeem Jeffries.
I’ll take the vision of the President and the Genius, whether feuding or not, over the Empty Suit and his status-quo party that would save us from climate change while the country is on the verge of a fiscal disaster like nothing we’ve ever seen before.
