Assassinations in America
Murder in America is commonplace. You could look it up. Check out Chicago, Baltimore or Memphis on any weekend. The stats are terrible and tragic, fueled by drugs, street crime, and gang activity.
When murders are committed for political purposes, we call that assassination.
That’s what the murder of Charlie Kirk was. That’s what the murder of Minnesota state representative Melissa Hortman and her husband was. And racism appears to have played a part in the brutal stabbing death of 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska on a light rail train in Charlotte.

The people who commit these types of murders are the sickest of the sick. There are more of them out there, waiting. We need to learn how they become radicalized, and find ways to stop them – before they change history again.
Yes; they change history.
Nobody knows what Melissa Hortman might have accomplished in her life had she been allowed to live it. She was a Democrat, and the guy who killed her has been called “right-wing.” Most of the time, it’s the other way around. The suspect in the Charlie Kirk murder, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, appears to have been a radicalized left-winger who did not like the ideas that Kirk espoused. The accused killer of Brian Thompson, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare, Luigi Mangione, was also a left-wing kook.

These types of assassinations are tragic and are intended to make a statement.
Who knows what’s in the minds of these killers? I’ve often wondered just what kind of statement they’re trying make, given the fact that they are throwing away their lives by making it. What did Mangione hope to accomplish by killing Brian Thompson? Did he expect the insurance industry to suddenly undergo reforms? If he did, does he now regret that he threw life away for nothing? Or does he bask in the glory that he has been afforded by many loons on the Left who think he’s a hero?

In the case of Charlie Kirk, the intended results may bear fruit for Tyler Robinson.
Some people think Kirk is irreplaceable in his quest to bring young people into the conservative movement. Some think he would have followed JD Vance into the presidency to extend the reign of MAGA by another 8 years. If that history was possible, it’s certainly not now.

Perhaps Iryna Zarutska, had she lived, would have done great things. But Decarlos Brown Jr., a mental case with 14 priors, stabbed her in a case of black-on-white crime. I call that an assassination.

How’d they get this way?
I can think of several ways. The first thing that comes to mind is the radicalization by left-wing college professors. We have to admit that, in America, our college campuses are bastions of left-wing thought and antisemitism. President Trump and states like Texas have been working to remove the hate from colleges such as Harvard and Columbia, but it still festers.
Another part of the problem is political rhetoric, mostly coming from the Left, though not exclusively. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer famously called for the assassinations (that’s how I see it) of two Supreme Court justices, and a would-be assassin tried to kill Justice Kavanaugh. Schumer has never paid a price.
Senator Rand Paul and his wife were nearly killed by a gang after an event at the White House. Many Democrats, including former President Joe Biden used Nazi slurs against President Trump. Two deranged left-wing kooks tried to take Trump out, and one of them came within a quarter-inch of blowing his brains out. Congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Maxine Waters are among the worst. Waters wants her followers to get in Republican’s faces.
The Right does not burn down cities. The Left does.
This may be the saddest fact of all. When a common street thug named George Floyd died while being restrained by a policeman, we had an entire summer of violence in our urban areas. People died. Floyd was made into a martyr and the Left ignored his police record and his drug use. They turned a criminal into a symbol of police racism, which was not true – but, hey – they had to convict Derek Chauvin of murder or more cities would burn.

Orem, Utah is not going to burn in the wake of the Charlie Kirk assassination. Unlike Floyd, Kirk was a good man, a family man with a wife and two young children who stood for biblical principles. Still, no city will burn. Charlotte isn’t going to burn. A black man stabbed a white girl to death in an apparent act of racism. But Charlotte will not burn. Only the Left does that.

Solutions: There are some, and they will not be easy to implement. But here they are.
- Each of these brutal assassins must be given full due process and then put to death with great fanfare. Why, for example, is Nidal Malik Hassan still alive? He should have been executed years ago.
- Left-wing, woke, anti-American college professors must be prevented from spouting their poison in the classroom even if it means mass firings.
- College and universities must remove all vestiges of antisemitism from their campuses as soon as humanly possible.
- Wokeness and DEI – two poisonous ideologies must be removed from our secondary schools so that students will not be indoctrinated with hatred.
- Politicians such as Joe Biden, Maxine Waters, and Chuck Schumer have to tone it down. These are our political leaders and they are dividing the country. Both parties have to tone it down.
- Insanity such as changing one’s sex is making our youth mentally ill. We have to stop promoting insanity.
- We have to treat the mentally ill before they murder someone, or else society has the right to execute them.
- Social media is a cesspool of hatred. The Left is far worse than the Right. Freedom of speech is important, but we need to figure this out. It’s also time to make the F-word unacceptable again. Society is too coarse.
- We need to take a look at violent video games and find out if they are having a desensitizing effect on young radical who play them.
These things would be a good start. Unfortunately, most of these ideas are in direct opposition to left-wing ideology, which has become Godless and violent. But we have to do them anyway. Or we will have more assassinations in America.
