Democrats – eaten up with identity politics – tell us it’s time for a woman president.

Serious people doubt that selecting a leader of the free world based on chromosome alignment is wise. But suppose there is some merit to voting on the basis of gender. There is a candidate that could fill the bill while providing twenty-first century leadership, common sense, and understanding on the issues affecting America and the world.

Carly Fiorina

Carly Fiorina

Her name is not Hillary Clinton.

She’s Carly Fiorina – former CEO of Hewlett-Packard. That’s right – a REAL job. Fiorina knows the real world. She regularly takes on Hillary Clinton’s elitism saying,

“I come from a world where speeches are not accomplishments.”

Fiorina, if nominated, would negate Hillary’s “historic” gender-centric campaign. She is forward thinking and results oriented. She is no Hillary.

There IS another woman!

Cal Thomas wrote a nice column about Ms. Fiorina following his interview with her. He finds her determined, competent, and qualified to be the president of the United States. She told him that she can take on Clinton on equal grounds:

“No matter what that man [that is running] says, she will play the gender card or the war on women card. [Hillary Clinton] won’t be able to do that with me.”

She’s got a point!

Hillary Clinton will run on the fact that she is a woman. She will stress “women’s issues” as if they are as important as preventing the next world war. She will talk about “women’s issues” like childcare credits. If Fiorina were the nominee, those debates would become irrelevant. Perhaps the campaign could then focus on immigration policy, big government, loss of freedom, the over regulated business climate, ISIS, Islamic terrorism, and where Hillary stands on the homosexual agenda.

Fiorina has traveled the world.

She has met world leaders such as the Saudi prince, and Vladimir Putin. She has an opinion about Putin and Iran:

“Putin is our adversary and a formidable man. Iran is our adversary.”

She thinks we should arm the Ukrainians. She wants to reinforce the Sixth Fleet. She thinks we should rebuild out European missile defenses in Poland. Issues such as these carry worldwide implications. President Obama has rejected each of them. Hillary Clinton was, for four years, Obama’s top diplomat and she helped shape his policies. She now must either repudiate them and risk losing his endorsement – or become “her own woman” and discuss policy. Hillary Clinton does NOT like to discuss policy.

More about Carly Fiorina.

She is a Christian. She told Cal Thomas that she drifted from faith in her 30’s but was challenged a few years ago by a pastor. She rediscovered her faith and now says she has a personal relationship with Jesus.

About the Indiana brouhaha over the Religious Freedom Law, she said:

“I think it is a typical tactic of liberals to divide and conquer through identity politics.”

She says we need a balanced and tolerant discussion about core principles. People with different beliefs, she says, should coexist without government forcing people to act against their values. Fiorina is comfortable discussing social issues.

On equal pay, she lashes back at Hillary’s ideas.

She points out that government seniority systems, which reward workers “for time in grade, not merit,” are what keep a lot of women’s pay treading water below men. She charges that Clinton’s natural consistency is government bureaucracy.

So you want a woman president?

Here’s a woman you can vote for without holding your nose. Cary Fiorina is not only female! She’s smart, well-informed, warm and engaging, experienced in business, conservative, and willing to engage on the issues. She is all the things Hillary Clinton is not.
