At first, I thought it was just a funny Super Bowl ad. It shows a man with his wife as she undergoes a third trimester ultrasound. The man is eating Doritos. The baby – or “fetus” if you prefer – seems to react to the crunching.

When the wife grabs the bag of chips and tosses it, the baby goes for it – and kind of gets born a bit early. They don’t show all of it, and it’s in good taste. But, OMG, they made the fetus seem human.

The pro-abortion radical group NARAL tweeted that

“Doritos used the anti-choice tactic humanizing fetuses.”

As one response said,

“What do people think human fetuses are?”

Well, human, of course. But it occurs to me that to admit the humanity of unborn humans is to admit to a generation of murder. Ask yourself – if you had promoted the destruction of so many unborn babies, would you admit their humanity?

The director Peter made one of the best Doritos commercial. In this commercial The husband eats a bag of Doritos loudly, and the wife complains to the doctor about what she has to deal with. He begins to move a chip toward his wife’s belly and the baby reaches for it. Having some fun with this, he moves the chip back and forth and watches as the fetus pushes toward it, causing the woman to yell in pain. Fed up with his nonsense, she grabs the chip and flings it across the room. She suddenly lets out a loud scream, and the doctor and husband join in the screaming as the baby’s cries can be heard.

Not only was there a “human” human baby, there was also a “Puppymonkeybaby.”

Babies were all the rage at Super Bowl #50. Mountain Dew Kickstart featured ad an with “three awesome things combined” just like the product. But when you combine a puppy, a monkey, and a baby – you get something kind of weird. But, boys are people talking about that ad!

Puppymonkeybaby had a diapered baby butt, a monkey torso, and a dog’s head – and it licked people in the face. It was gross. And it got the buzz the advertiser was seeking.

“Human” baby got buzz as well!

It was my favorite ad, even before I considered the pro-life implications. Anyone watching just could not help but notice that this “fetus” had arms, legs, a well-developed head – all the stuff people have!

What is unforgivable to NARAL and other abortion extremist groups in that the baby – still in the womb – had a personality. It reacted. It had a need – even if was for a frivolous item like a snack chip.

I can’t say whether the ad agency that concepted and produced this post – or the client – had any kind of pro-life message in mind. Maybe NARAL made it into a prop-life message. Either way, I loved the ad, adored the baby, and plan to buy me a big package of Doritos.
