Operation Jade Helm is popping up around Texas – and other locations like New Mexico, Utah and California. It’s a very large military training exercise encompassing all four branches of the armed forces.

The size and scope of the exercise is almost unprecedented.

Naturally, people are concerned. City Council members in Big Spring (TX) got a presentation and were told this is for the “next battle.” Bastrop County near Austin will also see the troops coming in. Is there anything to worry about? Social media is abuzz with concerns that this is a setup for martial law. The Washington Post says – don’t worry — it’s all legitimate. But in the wake of police invasions in Wisconsin during which battering rams were brought to people’s homes in the middle of the night, the public might be skeptical. It’s probably OK. But let’s keep our eyes open.

Military in the Age of Obama.

Democrats under President Obama have moved far left and they do not value freedom. They value government. Conservatives that revere the military and hold it in high esteem for defending our shores through two world wars and beyond are concerned about the new political correctness. Remember that General George Casey said after the jihad murders at Fort Hood that he was most concerned about losing diversity in the Army.

VIDEO: Three days after the Fort Hood shooting that left 14 dead and 32 wounded on November 5, 2009, Army Chief of Staff Gen. George Casey appeared on ABC This Week and made one of the most ridiculously irresponsible and insensitive statements in the history of public statements.

This statement from a PC general set back the public’s trust by decades. Remember, when the Fort Hood attack took place Obama was out speech-making and did a shout out to Joe medicine Crow before commenting on the shootings. Pathetic.

So the distrust is there and it was caused by Obama and his choice of people to run the Armed Forces.

Big Spring, Texas gets a presentation.

City Council members got details on the exercise because it is coming to their area. See if you can make sense of it.

Bastrop County will be another Jade Helm site with training set for July 15 until September 15th. They’ll get a presentation similar to what Big Spring got – on Monday, April 27 during the Commissioners Court meeting.

What exactly is Jade Helm 15?

Here’s what is being said – in a nutshell – from Army Lt. Col. Mark Lastoria, a command spokesman:

“The nature of warfare is always changing and U.S. Army Special Operations Command’s mission is to make certain the Army’s various Special Operations Forces are trained, equipped and organized to successfully conduct worldwide special operations in support of our nation’s interest. Training exercise Jade Helm is going to assist our Special Operations Soldiers and leadership in refining the skills needed against an ever changing foreign threat.”

The quote was originally printed in the Washington Post and came from an email, according to a March 31 news article.

The exercise is vast.

It will involve elite service members operating covertly among the U.S. public, traveling from state to state in military aircraft. Texas –in the exercise – is considered hostile territory. So is Utah and southern California. But such is the nature of war games.

That alone, is nothing to worry about. So what should we worry about?

Well, we should worry if there is legitimate reason to believe – as thousands seem to – that President Obama is not going to give up office to Hillary Clinton or Elizabeth Warren or anyone else. This little theory cropped up at the end of the Clinton presidency, too. And it never was going to happen. It isn’t going to happen this time either.

But why so much activity in civilian areas?

The Post points out that this type of training has happened before – namely in operations like “Bold Alligator,” and “Robin Sage.” The Post article has links to these exercises.

But why not hold these operations on military posts and bases?

The official word is that the “Realistic Military Training” or RMT is designed to ensure proper coordination between department of defense representatives and local and regional authorities. OK. Whatever they say.

JADE is MADE for conspiracy buffs.

You can do a BING search and find all the theories you can read. You can also depend on Alex Jones reporting from his bunker in Austin to warn you that this is treason.

So worry if you must.

And be sure to purchase some Oil of Oregano pills from Alex. As for me, I think the Wisconsin “John Doe” home invasion is a far bigger story — one of total government disregard to law and the Constitution. I have no trust in Obama, but trust our military men and women even if some of the generals (see General George Casey above) are loopy.

I do not think our fighting forces will sell us down the river.
