Bill O’Reilly has gone the way of Dr. Laura and Don Imus.  The decision has been made.

The 21st Century Fox Board of Directors was meeting to decide his fate with FOX News Channel. By no means do we support sexual harassment, and we have only published reports from liberal media such as the New York Times to suggest O’Reilly’s peccadilloes.

But we know this:

The far left organization Media Matters was orchestrating his demise.

Along with Rush Limbaugh, his head on a platter is a top prize. Glenn Beck has tweeted a letter from a Democratic fundraising group that admits to the campaign against the FOX star.

With this success, they’ll go after Rush, and Tucker Carlson, and Sean Hannity, and even Glenn Beck.

It apparently is too late to save O’Reilly. But Media Matters and its benefactor George Soros must be stopped.

In a statement released Wednesday afternoon, O’Reilly said:

“Over the past 20 years at Fox News, I have been extremely proud to launch and lead one of the most successful news programs in history… It is tremendously disheartening that we part ways due to completely unfounded claims. But that is the unfortunate reality many of us in the public eye must live with today. I will always look back on my time at Fox with great pride in the unprecedented success we achieved and with my deepest gratitude to all my dedicated viewers. I wish only the best for Fox News Channel.”

Stuff you don’t know about the O’Reilly scandal.

You know the stories about the sexual harassment. You can believe it or not. I believe some of it, but not all of it. There is too much to not believe there’s some there there, but I doubt that all of it is true. My concern is that a voice of reason and logic is being silenced – at least on FOX News.

A disgusting group called Media Matters is behind this.

According to a piece in the American Mirror, Glenn beck tweeted an email from the Bonner Group that seems to prove there is an organized, left-wing campaign to smear O’Reilly. Here is what you need to know about the Bonner Group from its website:

The Bonner Group is a Washington, D.C.-based progressive non-profit and Democratic political fundraising firm. Our clients include some of the most prominent and effective progressive organizations across the country. Over the past 18 years, the Bonner Group has worked for major non-profit organizations, Presidential campaigns, House & Senate campaigns, Gubernatorial campaigns, ballot initiatives, capital campaigns and ‘527’ organizations.

In the event you would like to tell them what you think, here is their contact information:

455 Massachusetts Avenue, NW Washington, DC 20001
Email: support@idealist.org

If you like them, you can volunteer to help their causes.

The letter, from Mary Pat Bonner says in part:

Due to our education campaign, over 80 advertisers have currently dropped O’Reilly’s show and the momentum continues to build. We are currently in a critical juncture in this campaign. I hope you can join media Matters President Angelo Carusone to hear about the success of the campaign so far, and our plans moving forward.

Who is Angelo Carusone?

He’s the left-winger at the helm of Media Matters, an organization with money from George Soros, dedicated to destroying both Rush Limbaugh and FOX News Channel. In this posting from the Huffington Post, he declared victory over FOX:

“The war on Fox is over,” said Media Matters Executive Vice President Angelo Carusone. “And it’s not just that it’s over, but it was very successful. To a large extent, we won.”

He may be right. But maybe not. When FOX News “lost” Megyn Kelly, the network tapped a contributor, Tucker Carlson who had previous shows on other cable networks that did not score – and Carlson became a sensation.

That means he is now on the Media Matters radar.

Carlson makes liberals look as stupid as they are, and so Media Matters will have to attack him – and try to destroy him. Remember, liberals don’t just change the channel. They work hard to destroy a conservative host that they don’t like.

It’s too late to save Bill O’Reilly from the nutcase leftists at the Bonner Group and Media Matters. But you can contact the 80 advertisers that have moved off the Factor and tell them you’re very unhappy with them. You can call FOX News to tell them you are displeased. Or you can contact the 21st Century Board of Directors from a handy list published by Media Matters:

Start calling. Stop buying from advertisers that abandoned Bill.

They got Dr. Laura. They now have gotten Bill O’Reilly. They badly want the head of Rush Limbaugh. So get to work. Remember, we conservatives have only Talk Radio and FOX News Channel, and a few websites. They have everything else.

Don’t cry for O’Reilly.

He’s very rich. He can still write books and do tours if he wants to. And I suspect he might join Glenn Beck at the Blaze. If so, that would put another superstar on that network and get it on many more cable systems.

In the meantime, it galls me to think that crap-weasels at Media Matters can blow up what is likely a much smaller scandal than what we’re seeing in the media – and get the top host of FOX News summarily thrown off the air. There should be a campaign to destroy Media Matters. But we’re conservatives, and that’s not how we think.

It is EXACTLY how they think.
