I just scoured the front page of Media Matters Dot Org, and I couldn’t find a single mention of Joy Reid. All the usual suspects are accounted for and are under attack including FOX News, Lou Dobbs, Tucker Carlson, Sinclair Broadcasting, President Trump, Scott Pruitt, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, and Mike Pompeo.

This is where Media Matters gets confused.

They’re on Pompeo’s case for his “anti-LGBTQ history.” But apparently, revelations that Joy Reid is severely anti-gay just don’t amount to anything.

In past weeks, Media Matters has tried to get Laura Ingraham fired from her FOX News show due to a tweet about anti-gun activist David Hogg.

It has also posted Sean Hannity’s advertiser list due to his informal relationship with Michael Cohen whose offices were recently raided. But there will be no Media Matters boycott of the AM Joy host.

Media Matters should clear up the confusion.

Is it an organization dedicated to getting media figures fired for espousing traditional American values? Or is it simply going after conservative hosts and broadcasting/cable outlets that don’t stick with the left-wing narrative?

If the former is true – then, for consistency’s sake, media Matters should be posting a list of Ms. Reid’s advertisers on her weekend MSNBC show “AM Joy” which is said to have about a million viewers. It is true, that o matter how nasty she may have been is doing it, Ms. Reid was espousing traditional thought in her opposition to the homosexual agenda.

Reid, as we have seen, has not come clean about her nastiness, but a visit to the Wayback Machine busted her. There’s yet another report out saying that she attacked left-wing actress and talker Rosie O’Donnell – even to the extent of taking the side of Donald Trump, who was, at the time, feuding with O’Donnell:

“How much longer until that chubbed-out shrew Rosie O’Donnell gets he fat ass canned by Babwa [Barbara Walters of ‘The View’]? How much longer will the freak show that is ‘The View’ continue to darken our TV screen? How much more kick-ass funny can Donald Trump be??? …I’m square for the Donald on these one…”

No conservative commentator has made comments this nasty. Now, add this to the anti-gay comments about being disgusted by “two men kissing” and such and you’ve got a right-down-the-line case for Media Matters to call for a boycott.

Video: Reid likes to go after President Trump and FOX News’ Sean Hannity. This is from “AM Joy.”

Not gonna happen.

Suits at MSNBC say Reid will remain on the air, Apparently, Reid’s insistence that her blog was hacked means that NBC will wait until a law enforcement investigation plays out to take action. Benefit of the doubt! What a concept! Bill O’Reilly should call his office – if he still had one.

It looks like the gay advocacy group PFLAG has rescinded Reid’s “Straight for Equality in media” award. But other than that, she seems to have shaken the whole affair off. If the “law-enforcement” investigation fades to black, she keeps her show and she can continue to blame hackers.

Media Matters stands exposed for vile hypocrisy.

If you’re Rush Limbaugh, Dr. Laura, Sean Hannity, Lou Dobbs, or FOX News, you’d better watch your P’s and Q’s. Your right to your opinion notwithstanding, Media Matters will call a boycott. But that’s only if you’re on the Right.

A leftist like Joy Reid is immune – even though she violated a key tenant of Media Matters’ holier-than-thou mission: to knock anyone who disagrees with them off the air.

Surely they disagree with Reid’s anti-gay rants. David Brock, who founded Media Matters in 2004, is a homosexual. But current head honcho Angelo Carusone said on Twitter that there will be no boycott against Reid. He referred to the controversy as “bulls-t and right-wing chicanery.” He also said:

“I hope people can separate, especially media figures, can separate out the difference. There’s no corrective action they seek here. Just revenge. Further, those leading the charge on this issue are actually terrible of LGBT issues. If we accept the stands they are putting forward, then by extension, doesn’t that mean many of their media figures should be punished too?

Oh, so? Carusone is confused.

Unlike Media Matters, most conservative sites – including this one – have never called for people to be kicked off the air because of political opinions. That’s what Media Matters does. Mr. Carusone, YOU set the standard, not us. You’ve tried to get many conservatives fired for far less.

You’ve been busted.
