Zucker’s left-wing credentials run deep.

He tried and failed to get into Harvard –and instead went to work for NBC where he climbed the corporate ladder to become CEO of NBC Universal. After that, he produced Katie Couric’s syndicated show before being hired as head of CNN.

I first knew he was “bad news” when he stated that CNN would not be “shamed” into carrying the Benghazi hearings live.

In other words, he was determined to protect Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. Recently, CNN has come under heavy fire for broadcasting “fake news” and a story regarding the Russians had to be retracted –and three people let go.

Zucker appears to be the driving force behind the constant “Russian collusion” coverage. If it proves untrue, advertisers should abandon CNN and Zucker should be fired. CNN is now the most trusted name in fake news.

Four people died in Benghazi – under the watch of President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton – and a scandal was born. To this day, the American people still don’t know the whole truth.

Putting his political persuasion ahead of journalistic judgment, Zucker said his network would not carry the hearings. Back in May 2014, that’s what he told a New York Times reporter at the Deadline Club’s annual awards dinner.

“We’re not going to be shamed into [Benghazi coverage] by others who have political beliefs that want to try to have temper tantrums to shame other news organizations into covering something. If it’s of real news value, we’ll cover it.”

“Real news” to Zucker means neverending panels on things such as the missing Malaysian jetliner (which became a CNN obsession) and mythical Trump campaign collusion with Russia.

CNN has a whole batch of problems going on now – all caused by the “leadership” of Zucker.

Three CNN journalists were let go following a story posted on CNN Dot Com that asserted Congress was investigating a Russian investment fund with ties to Trump officials. It quoted an anonymous source.

We can’t link to it because CNN took it down.

James O’Keefe of Project Veritas has released a video of CNN producer John Bonifield who said on a hidden camera that the Russian story being carried on CNN ad infinitum is BS:

“I mean it’s mostly bullshit right now. Like, we don’t have any giant proof. It’s a business. People are like, the media has an ethical phssss [pass?]. All the nice cutesy little ethics that used to get talked about in journalism school you’re just like, that’s adorable. That’s adorable. This is a business.”

Well! I read that, and I was like, wow! And this guy was like, telling the truth. And CNN was like….

You get the picture. It’s all about ratings and the truth be damned. Welcome to the world of Jeff Zucker. It gets worse.

Bonifield goes on to implicate his boss in the worst way:

“Just to give you some context, President Trump pulled out of the climate accords and for a day and a half we covered the climate accords. And the CEO of CNN (Jeff Zucker) said in our internal meeting, he said good job everybody covering the climate accords, but we’re done with that, let’s get back to Russia.”

This is the real Jeff Zucker. No carrying the Benghazi hearings (real news) – and let’s get back to the Russian/Trump collusion (fake news.)

Meanwhile, the childish White House correspondent t for CNN, Jim Acosta decided to take a picture of Sean Spicer in spite of a Briefing Room ban on cameras. Acosta also heckled Spicer about the no-cameras rule.

This is not the first time Acosta has had a public temper tantrum.

Not to worry. Zucker says CNN is STILL the most trusted name in news.

That’s what he says. Speaking at Cannes Lions, he said:

“CNN has been around for 37 years; our trustworthiness today it is same a it was a year ago before people in high offices [President Trump] started questioning it. We know that through our own brand research. Just because somebody says you are not trustworthy, that does mean it is so. CNN’s brand equity is built over 37 years doing hard work is very dangerous places.”

CNN, under Zucker, is in a very dangerous place right now.

Its failure to cover Benghazi, it’s frequent obsessions, its left-wing panels, and now fake Russian collusion stories are all damaging. Zucker bet the network on Russian collusion, and yet, Trump is still standing. Zucker needs to be let go so this network can restaff and rebuild its “trust” brand.

If not, it’s time for advertisers to stop supporting the most untrusted name in news.
