We now know that Obama’s Justice Department spied on the Trump campaign. That spying included human informants. It also included collusion with Great Britain. As a result, the Obama administration broke the law. In addition, it helped the British commit an act of war against the United States. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) is defending that behavior. He’s done so before.

On ABC’s This Week, Rubio excused espionage committed by Obama’s DOJ.

In his interview, Rubio sounded like James Clapper. Hence, Rubio didn’t deny there was a spy inside the Trump campaign. Rather, he endorsed it.

Notice that Rubio justified the use of spies by saying they were investigating people inside the campaign that we “should be suspicious of”. Yet, there is one spy who has been at Hillary Clinton’s side for decades that Rubio defended and wasn’t suspicious of at all.

Rubio’s hypocrisy

Defending anti-American spies is not new for Rubio; it’s becoming a habit.

In 2012, Rubio defended Muslim Brotherhood spy Huma Abedin instead of siding with Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN). Bachmann called out Abedin’s irrefutable ties to the Islamic terror organization. Rubio sided with Abedin and left Bachmann hanging out to dry:

In 2016, Rubio was named the 5th most despicable Republican who defended Abedin.

Furthermore, it wasn’t just Abedin. Bachmann called attention to multiple Muslim Brotherhood operatives in five separate letters to various departments and agencies.

Rubio defended them all, though some with his silence.

Then, in 2013, outgoing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton testified about Benghazi, in front of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Rubio sat on that committee. His exchange with Clinton represented the only five minutes he would be able to confront her on the record.

Rubio appeared disinterested and lobbed softball after softball at Clinton. This was most noteworthy.

It makes no difference why Rubio betrayed conservative voters who rallied to his side in 2010. He betrayed them nonetheless.

By excusing and defending anti-American spies, Rubio has decided to take that a step further and betray his country altogether.
