Remember how liberals went on TV night after night to demand a special counsel in the Russian collusion matter? They finally got their way when Robert Mueller was appointed. Now, the other side of the aisle is starting to demand a second special counsel to look into Mueller and the FBI.

The evidence is beginning to mount.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions says 50,000 text messages were exchanged between agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page – not counting 5 months worth of texts that are missing.

That’s not all.

There are allegations of government surveillance abuse in a not-yet-disclosed FISA memo.

The capper is talk of a “Secret Society” comprised of officials within the Department of Justice and the FBI that met the day after trump was elected – with a likely mission of undermining him. Mueller may soon have a special counsel investigating his investigation.

Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-TX) is one of the members that believes there is palpable bias.

According to a tweet from Ratcliffe:

The thousands of texts @TGowdySC and I reviewed today revealed manifest bias among top FBI officials against @realDonaldTrump. The texts between Strzok and Page referenced a “secret society.”

All this indicates that Mueller, as we have written at WBDaily, may be investigating the wrong people. In fact, Mueller himself may bear scrutiny.

Congressman Trey Gowdy is also talking about a possible second special counsel.

What could it entail?

Here are a few items that could be embedded in the new counsel’s mandate:

• Did a “Secret Society” meet the day after Trump was elected to plot against him?
• What other revelations are contained in the 50,000 text messages between Strzok and Page?
• Where are the missing 5 months of texts and what is in them?
• Is the Russian Dossier the basis of Robert Mueller’s investigation of Trump?
• Did former FBI Director Comey plot the Hillary Clinton exoneration before the interviews were completed and the evidence was in?
• Why was Clinton lawyer Cheryl Mills considered as an attorney for Hillary rather than as a target?
• Was the James Comey leak that resulted in the Mueller appointment illegal?
• What is in the FISA abuse memo – and will it show government corruption with regard to surveillance?
• What did President Obama know about corruption related to surveillance?
• What was actually discussed when Bill Clinton met with Attorney General Loretta Lynch on a tarmac in Phoenix?
• What was the role of the DNC, the Hillary Clinton campaign, and the FBI in the hiring of Fusion GPS and the compilation of the Steele Dossier?
• With regard to her home server, was Hillary Clinton “gross negligent,” or “extremely careless” and is there a difference?

There’s more – but when Comey, Clinton, and Mueller are involved, there always is.

The Justice Department should name the special counsel now.

Let’s get it done. Let’s find those missing texts, and let’s get to the bottom of the real scandal – which is why the U.S. government protected Hillary Clinton from obvious crimes while plotting against the man who defeated her.
