I thought I had heard it all during the current left-wing hysteria over the “separation” flap. But, no; it gets worse.

Doctors at Harvard Medical School and big-shot organizations such as the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Physicians, and the American Psychiatric Association are adding to the hysteria. The effect of this separation at the border is “catastrophic” says a Harvard professor. “Trauma” shouts the doctors’ organizations. To which I say: baloney.

First of all, if you’ve seen the photos of the child detention centers – these immigrant kids have it better there, than in some of these third world hellholes. Second, I got a call from a military veteran who recounted how he was separated from his family when he was deployed. It happens all the time. Doctors must know that.

FROM BREITBART: A U.S. Border Patrol agent stands near shelves of clothing at a detention facility for unaccompanied minors run by the Border Patrol on September 8, 2014 in McAllen, Texas. The Border Patrol opened the holding center to temporarily house the children after tens of thousands of families and unaccompanied minors from Central America crossed the border illegally into the United States during the spring and summer. Here’s what the docs are selling, that I’m not buying.

This is from a BIG article in the Jeff Bezos-owned Washington Post. It begins by explaining what happens “inside” children the evil Trump policy (that really is a United States law) separates them from their parents. The all-seeing Post tells us:

Their heart rate goes up. Their body releases a flood of stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline. Those stress hormones can start killing off dendrites — the little branches in brain cells that transmit mes¬sages. In time, the stress can start killing off neurons and — especially in young children — wreaking dramatic and long-term damage, both psychologically and to the physical structure of the brain.

We assume this comes from a smart professor at Harvard, who is then quoted:

“The effect is catastrophic,” said Charles Nelson, a pediatrics professor at Harvard Medical School. “There’s so much research on this that if people paid attention at all to the science, they would never do this.”

At this point in the Jeff Bezos-owned Washington Post explains that the Trump administration’s new border policy [STOP! It’s NOT a Trump policy. He is simply the first president to enforce the law] has separated nearly 2,000 immigrant children from their parents in recent weeks.

The Post does not mention that the parents – if that’s what they are – brought these kids to the United States border, passing through Mexico which offered no asylum, intending to flagrantly break our laws. The Post does not mention that upwards of 80 percent of the asylum claims are fraudulent.

Video: Facing a rising tide of outrage from Democrats and left-wing Republicans over the separation of “families” at the U.S.-Mexico border, U.S. President Donald Trump dug in Monday (6/18/18), during a speech at the National Space Council meeting.

President Obama’s method of handing this was called: Catch & Release.

His policy was to arrest, set up a hearing, then let the illegals go – and virtually none of them ever showed up for the hearings. That’s how Obama got his prospective new Democrats into the country. Compassion? Hardly.

Obama wanted to change the demographics of the country, and punish it for being a rich nation. Obama hated that – and he wanted Social Justice through diversity. Diversity is more important to libs than freedom, tradition, culture, or law enforcement. For the record, George W. Bush was no better.

Medical associations are showing their left-wing stripes – or their ignorance – or both.

The three associations mentioned above have issued their statements of repudiation against President Trump – joining CNN, MSNBC, Willie Nelson, Laura Bush, Democrats, and nearly all the big featurepapers. According to the Bezos Post, nearly 7,700 mental health professions have signed a petition urging the President to end the policy – meaning not enforce the law.

The petition reads:

“To pretend that separated children do not grow up with the shrapnel of this traumatic experience embedded in their minds is to disregard everything we know about child development, the brain, and trauma.”

To pretend this is about health and not politics is to disregard everything we know about the state of liberalism in America.

Separation of families. Let me count the ways.

Think about this. Rationally, if you will. Separation of families happens every day – and yet, we’ve never heard these outrageous claims from doctors before.

• Soldiers going off to war are separated from wives/husbands and children.
• When a woman has an abortion, she is separated from her baby forever.
• White-collar criminals that are imprisoned are separated – think Paul Manafort.
• Blue-collar criminals like bank robbers get thrown in jail, so as producer Lou Ann Anderson says – when you rob the bank, be sure to bring your children.
• For whatever the reason may be, children in orphanages have been separated from their families.
• When a parent dies, he/she becomes separated from the children.
• Deadbeat fathers that impregnate women and then do not participate in their own children’s lives are certainly separated from them.

Liberals do not complain about any of these separations. They, in fact, promote abortion and support welfare programs that enable the separation of irresponsible men from women – some of whom are irresponsible themselves.

Doctors ought to heal the sick – and shut up.

This controversy is way above their pay grade. And their pay grade is far higher than mine. If they were seriously concerned about children being separated from their parents, they would be outraged by abortion and the epidemic of single-parent families in our urban centers.
