In 2008, when the controversy over Barack Obama’s pastor Jeremiah Wright was finally picked up by the mainstream media, Obama was excused for attending the church for 20 years. Why? Because he was believed when he said he was never in attendance when Pastor Jeremiah Wright was at his most anti-Semitic.

It would appear that he cannot use that excuse when it comes to distancing himself from Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber. As Gruber’s radioactive comments about the American people being too stupid to understand why they needed Obamacare continue to surface, Democrats are jumping ship – or trying to.

In this particular instance, Gruber was interviewed for Frontline in 2012. During that interview, he referenced a meeting at the White House. The subject of that meeting included crafting narratives and methods to deceive the American people relative to the Cadillac tax. In the short clip below, Gruber admits that Obama was in the room and was helping in the effort (h/t GWP):

Unfortunately for Obama, the video above flies directly in the face of White House claims that Gruber wasn’t part of the process (via TPM):

The White House is publicly distancing itself from MIT professor Jonathan Gruber’s comments on the legislative process behind Obamacare and its “lack of transparency,” which have been seized on by conservatives this week, saying that they are “simply not true.”

Gruber also invoked “the stupidity of the American voter” in 2013 comments unearthed last week about the Affordable Care Act. He has since said that he regretted the comments and spoke “inappropriately.”

Those inclined to believe any White House attempt to deny Gruber was really involved in the meeting to which he referred to above run into a problem because of the White House visitor logs; they back up Gruber:

Well from having the experience of Obama after these last 6years—-We now know that statement was more then likely 99.99.9 percent, a lie !

What we may have to wait for now, And hope doesn’t happen to the Gruber Guy,( since he is truly an Ignorant Arse,) is that he doesn’t end up being a second Vince Foster.
