If you want to work for members of Congress as an IT specialist, you need a background check. Yet, 44 Democrat members of Congress hired five Pakistani Muslims to do the work. Not one of those 44 members required background checks for those five people.

Especially relevant is that all of them would have failed one.

Imran Awan and members of his family began work for the lawmakers back in 2004. Former Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair, Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz is the most noteworthy. She hired Awan back in 2005.

In late 2015, lawmakers engaged in some C.Y.A. Someone inserted a loophole into the background check policy. As of that time, all a member had to do was certify that another member (unnamed) verified the individual in question, according to the findings of the Daily Caller’s Luke Rosiak.

Look at the second option on this form:

Wasserman-Schultz hired Imran ten years earlier. Hence, someone must have waived the requirement that the Awans undergo a background check.

Hillary’s Muslim Brotherhood Advisor

Hilary with Wasserman-Schultz on 2008 campaign trail.

From 2001-2009, Hillary Clinton was a U.S. Senator from New York. During that time, Huma Abedin was at her side; she had been since 1996. Abedin’s allegiance to the Muslim Brotherhood is beyond a shadow of a doubt. She is an operative; it is confirmed. There is no way she could have passed a background check when Hillary became Senator.

Yet, she got a security clearance. This must have laid the blueprint for Wasserman-Schultz as Hillary began her second term in 2005.

Washerman-Schultz and Hillary worked together in Congress for four years. In 2008, Wasserman-Schultz campaigned for Hillary in the 2008 Presidential election. Later, she helped rig the 2016 primary to ensure Hillary’s victory.

Unvetted Muslim aides was one thing both women had in common. As a result, both women needed each other to help stay clean.

In 2012, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) learned of Abedin’s Muslim Brotherhood ties and sent a letter to the State Department’s acting Inspector General (IG) asking for answers. They never came. Especially relevant is that Bachmann’s Republican colleagues did more to defend Abedin than to assist Bachmann.

In the wake of the controversy, a woman at a town hall asked Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI) about Bachmann’s findings. In response, Sensenbrenner assured the woman that Abedin must have passed the necessary background check.

“She (Huma) could not have gotten the job, either as then-senator hillary clinton’s top advisor or the job in the state department without passing a rather rigorous security clearance and if there was any indication that she had any connection at all with the Muslim Brotherhood, she would not have passed that security clearance.” – Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner in 2012

Lack of Background Checks

In the case of the Awan brothers and family members, we now know background checks didn’t happen. Consequently, the likelihood that Abedin didn’t receive one goes up exponentially.

Due to the controversy surrounding Bachmann’s letter, people began asking about Abedin’s Form 86. To this day, no one has produced it. In order to get a security clearance, Abedin would have been required to complete and pass this test.

Based on what we know about her, she could not have passed it. Therefore, the only conclusion is that she received a waiver, just like the Awans before her and she before them during Hillary’s time in the Senate.

Benghazi Committee an Opportunity Lost

On September 11, 2012, just 90 days after Bachmann sent the letter to the State Department, attackers – many of whom were from the Muslim Brotherhood – attacked U.S. installations (State Department and CIA) in Benghazi, Libya.

Especially relevant is that Abedin was Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s closest advisor at the time. Most noteworthy are Abedin’s Muslim Brotherhood ties at that time.

A common refrain from Congressional investigators is that they cannot subpoena or prosecute anyone. They parrot this line whenever the American people don’t see results.

However, the House Select Committee on Benghazi blew a huge opportunity. Instead of making Abedin’s ties to the group that attacked the U.S. in Benghazi, the committee ignored those ties completely.

No one vetted Abedin. It is the only answer. Had the committee – led by Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) investigated that fact, the committee’s work would have immediately become relevant.

Instead, it failed and took a dive. As a result, no one took notice.

Furthermore, one of the Congressmen who co-signed Bachmann’s letter actually sat on the committee – Rep. Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA).

The relevance of Abedin’s ties to the Benghazi attacks cannot be overstated. Therefore, neither can the relevance of her lack of a background check.

Republican members of Congress looked the other way when Abedin and the Awan clan had no business being anywhere near classified information.

Something else Abedin and the Awan clan have in common is both mishandled classified information.
